Dear Exhibitors, Dear Guests,
AMBERIF - the International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones welcomes you in Gdansk. We expect to host over 450 exhibitors from Poland and other countries. The latest edition of the Fair was visited by 6 045 persons from 40 countries from all over the world: representatives and owners of wholesale companies, chain outlets, retailers, galleries and museums, as well as scientists, gemmologists and trade media from Poland and abroad. Fair is open excusively for the industry members.
Amberif Fair is organised in three topical sectors:
Gold Hall: gold and silver jewellery, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, goldsmiths’ works and designs and watches.
Amber Hall: amber jewellery, silver and gold jewellery with amber, decorative objects and items of applied art made of amber, designerd jewellery.
Amber & Silver Hall: silver and gold jewellery with amber, semifinished amber products, gemstones, imported jewellery, packaging.
Technical Pavilion: machines, technologies and tools for the jewellery industry.
The Fair feature a number of interesting industry meetings and social events, design competitions and seminars. Mercurius Gedanensis is Jewellery Craftsmanship Competition for Exhibitors, held in two categories: design and jewellery mastery. Amberif Design Award 2010 invites international designers to inerprete amber to the language of contemporary art. The topic this time is NON-JEWELLERY.
The seminar sessions will include: Seminar on the Baltic Amber, organised
in partnership with the Museum of the Earth of the Polish Academy of Sciences
in Warsaw and the International Amber Association, and The Diamonds Seminar, organised by the Association of Jewellery Experts in partnership with the HRD - Antwerp World Diamond Council.
The Designers' Gallery under ausices of the Goldsmithing Artists' Association will present a review of unique Polish designer jewellery by over 80 individual authors.
The Palaeontological Gallery, organised by the Museum of Amber Inclusions of the University of Gdańsk and the Natural History Museum of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow, will be the traditional meeting place for collectors and experts in faunal and floral inclusions from ancient forests. The Amber Laboratory, which provides advice and consultation in all matters related to amber material, will be run by the scientists and experts of the International Amber Association
and the Technical University of Gdańsk.
The Amber and Fashion Gala, a fashion and jewellery show by well-known fashion and jewellery designers, would suggest inspiration and trends for the nearest future.
